Jokowi said that he already pocketed the names of the KPK Supervisory Board members.

President Joko Widodo has now finished compiling the names of the Corruption Eradication Commission Supervisory Board candidates.  However, Indonesia's number one person still keeps the names secret.

Minister of State Secretariat Pratikno revealed, the announcement of the name of the members of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Supervisory Board will be carried out on December 20, 2019.

Although the name of the new KPK Supervisory Board member will be announced next week, it has been circulating on Whatsapp social media about who will occupy the position.

"Circulating list of candidates for the Supervisory Board of @KPK_RI: Tumpak (Ex KPK), Romli A (Lecturer), Indriyanto (Lecturer), Harkristuti (Lecturer), Gayus Lumbun (Ex Chief Justice/Politician), Adi Togarisman (Ex JAM in the Attorney General)  , Budiman TR (Journalist), Markus (Lecturer), "was the message received by bizlaw.id.

Previously, Jokowi said he already pocketed the names of the KPK Supervisory Board members.  "It's been (the names), but not yet (announced)," Jokowi said at the Mulia Senayan Hotel Jakarta, Tuesday (10/12).

Unfortunately, the former Governor of DKI Jakarta did not specify the names of KPK Supervisory Board members.  When asked the number of Dewas KPK members, Jokowi did not answer.  He also said that he would not announce the names of the Supervisory Board.

The screening of the KPK Supervisory Board candidates is carried out by an internal team led by Minister of State Secretary Pratikno.  Some of its members are Ari Dwipayana, Sukardi Rinakit, and Dini Purwono.

Presidential spokesperson, Fadjroel Rachman, previously said Jokowi prioritized anti-corruption activists to fill the KPK Supervisory Board position.  Jokowi also submitted a number of candidates that he got based on input from a number of parties to the internal team.  Later, this team will trace the candidate's track record and suitability with administrative requirements.

The plan is, the inauguration of the members of the KPK Supervisory Board will be carried out simultaneously with the taking of the oath of the leadership of the new KPK period.  This is in accordance with the transitional regulations in Article 69A of the revised KPK Law, namely the appointment of the chairman and members of the Supervisory Board carried out simultaneously with the appointment of the leadership of the KPK 2019-2023.

In accordance with the new KPK Law, the supervisory board will be filled by five people.  Jokowi said the KPK supervisory board must have a good footprint, ranging from legal experience to criminal.

"It might also be related to the audit audit for an important financial management. Then yes, this is still a process. We are still ... on the 20s, right," Jokowi said at the Presidential Palace during lunch with journalists, Monday, December 2, 2019.

Presidential Spokesman Fadjroel Rahman asked the public to be patient until Jokowi announced it directly.  He ensured that the KPK Supervisory Board members chosen must be the best and have integrity.

"Generally based on normative criteria from the Act. At least, for example, he must be at least 55 years old," he explained.
