National Police Chief Gen. Idham Azis has submitted a report handling cases of hard water sprinkling to the Baswedan Novel to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi). Until this moment, the case has not been revealed.
The Idham and Jokowi meeting only lasts about 20 minutes, at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Monday (9/12) afternoon. After the meeting, Idham immediately left the Jakarta Presidential Palace Complex. Idham asked the Police Public Relations Division Chief Inspector General Muhammad Iqbal to explain to reporters the results of the meeting with Jokowi.
"The National Police Chief has left the Palace Complex, to carry out other tasks," Iqbal told reporters at the Palace.
According to Iqbal, during the meeting, Jokowi in general asked about the development of the case of one of the KPK's senior investigators. Idham reports that the attacker Novel has not been revealed to date.
Idham himself has also appointed a new National Police Chief of Criminal Investigation, namely Inspector General Listyo Sigit Prabowo. "(Until) this time, and before (not yet revealed), and God willing, in the future, the technical team will continue to work optimally to uncover this case," he said.
Previously, Jokowi gave Idham a deadline to expose the hard watering case against senior investigators at the KPK Novel Baswedan until early December 2019.
"I have conveyed it to the new National Police Chief, I will give until the beginning of December (2019). I will convey it in early December," Jokowi said during a dialogue with reporters at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, last Friday (1/11).
However, after the deadline given the National Police had not yet succeeded in uncovering the perpetrators of watering hard water into Novel. This case has been running for more than two years since the incident, 11 April 2017.
