The award is given for the assessment of contributions in empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs)

The Acting Governor of Aceh, Ir Nova Iriansyah MT, won the 2019 Best Governor/Head of Government Award from the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin).

The award is given for evaluating the contribution in empowering Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), especially overcoming problems of access to finance/funding, markets, technology, innovation, and Human Resources (HR) in terms of managerial and entrepreneurial development.

"For what was achieved, we would like to thank all those who have supported the government, both from the Central Kadin, or the Aceh Chamber of Commerce and all other elements of society," Nova said after the 2019 Kadin National Leadership Meeting which was also attended by Vice President KH. Ma'ruf Amin, and the Speaker of the Indonesian Parliament, Puan Maharani at The Westin Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali, Friday, November 29, 2019.

The award was given directly by the Chairperson of Kadin Indonesia, Rosan P. Roeslani to Nova along with a number of Governors, Regents and other Mayors.

The Kadin annual meeting was also attended by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto, Deputy Chief of Secretariat President Mohamad Oemar, Special Staff of the Vice President for Communication and Information Masduki Baidlowi, and Special Staff of the Vice President for Infrastructure and Investment Sukriansyah S. Latief.

Kadin Chairperson Rosan P. Roeslani said that his party appreciated the achievements of regional heads in increasing Kadin membership, empowering physical conditions (office buildings) and Kadin-Kadin finances in the regions.

"In addition, we also appreciate what the regional leaders have done because they have included regional Kadin in implementing regional development projects, especially for small and medium-sized companies, and encourage Kadin participation in local government activities,  both at home and abroad," he explained.

The 2019 Kadin National Rapimnas with the theme "Competitive and Fair Economic Progress" lasted for two days starting on Thursday, November 28 and ending on Friday, November 29, 2019. The event was attended by 1000 Kadin officials from all over Indonesia.
